 2nd Annual Miniature Show

ENTRY DATE: Saturday, February 22, 10 am-2 pm

PICKUP DATE; Saturday, April 26, 10 am-2 pm

ENTRY FEE: $30 for up to 5 entries

Open to all Nevada and surrounding area artists

RECEPTION: Saturday, March 1, 6 to 8 p.m.

Size limit: Image maximum 36 sq.in., inside frame 80 sq.in.

No theme—all subjects welcome

JUDGE: To be announced

 

CATAGORIES: (1) Oil & acrylics (3) Pastel

(2) Watermedia (4) Mixed Media

(5) Other

 

NO photography, computer generated art, or prints will be accepted.

 

If there are not enough entries in a category, the Show Committee will combine that category with (5) above.

 

AWARDS:

Best of Show $100 First Place $50 Second Place $30 Third Place $20, Honorable Mention ribbons only People’s Choice $50

 

RESTRICTIONS:

Artwork must be original. Mats & frames must be clean and free of nicks and scratches. Artwork must be properly wired for hanging. If the art work does not meet the requirements or is deemed in bad taste, it will be juried out. The Show Committee has he final decision.

 

SALES: All sales will be handled by NAA who will be responsible for collecting sales tax. 25% of the sales price will be retained by the gallery.

NAA was formed in 1950 to pursue the following mission:

        • To develop and encourage the attainment and maintenance
          of a high standard of art, to promote and stimulate the
          practical expression of art and art appreciation by those
          people and groups interested in the arts in the state of Nevada.
        • To present to the public works of artists by sponsoring,
          sanctioning and promoting art exhibits.
        • To encourage the establishment of schools and classes in
          art for the citizens of the state of Nevada.
        • To create and maintain high ethical standards among artists

 

The Gallery at the BAC is open Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free and all art is for sale. The BAC is located at 449 West King St. For more call 882-6411 or go on line at www.nevadaartists.org
