THE 1864 GRAND BALLROOM

The 1864 Grand Ballroom is a 1,512 sq. ft. venue with the capacity for 99 people (limited to 50 people for private parties).  This venue has undergone many changes throughout the years, originating as the Carson Brewery, later the Nevada Appeal Building, and finally transformed into the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom, making this not only a beautiful space but a historic Carson City landmark.  The Ballroom features a refinished hardwood floor, ornate tin ceiling, red velour drapery, and dimmable lighting in the wall sconces and chandeliers and a sound system you can simply plug into.  This venue is located on the 2nd floor of the old Carson Brewery Building, right above the Artisan Store and features elevator access.  Equipped with a 5 channel sound system and audio visual projection system, adding a multimedia presentation or music to your event is easy.

THE “MAIZIE” THEATER

Home to a few of the local theater companies, and named after a Carson City actress and director, this intimate black box theater is perfectly suited to accommodate various types of artistic productions, demonstrations, and lecture events.  The MHJ Theater is equipped with a fully functional sound and lighting booth, lighting grid, front of house sound system, 2 dressing rooms, and is capable of seating 128 people on a multilevel riser system. Adjacent to the old Carson Brewery Building, the main entrance to the theater is accessed via the Artisan Store.

Multiple layouts lend to endless possibilities for this space. Catering available.

 THE PERFORMANCE HALL

The Performance Hall is located in the old St. Teresa of Avila Church building at 511 W. King St.  The Performance Hall provides audiences in Carson City the ability to enjoy various artistic and musical productions in an elegant fusion of historic and modern architecture.  Originally built as a catholic church, the Performance Hall is an acoustically live venue, and is well suited for both musical and theatrical productions.  This venue is equipped with a fully functional sound and lighting booth, lighting grid, front of house sound system appropriate for movies and PA sound, multimedia projection system, backstage green room, lobby, and is capable of seating up to 244 people.
